Inconel 718 Bar

Inconel 718 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy designed to resist severe corrosion conditions, pitting and crevice corrosion. This nickel steel alloy also exhibits incredibly high recovery, tensile and creep rupture properties at high temperatures. These nickel alloys have long-term use from low temperatures to 1200 °F. A recognized element of the 718 composition of Inconel is the expansion of niobium to achieve age hardening, which allows annealing and welding without unconstrained hardening during heating and cooling. The expansion of niobium along with molybdenum hardens the alloy matrix and provides high strength without strengthening heat treatment. Other well-known nickel-chromium alloys age harden by expansion of aluminum and titanium.

Incoloy 800 Bar

Incoloy 800 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy. It has very good strength, oxidation resistance and carburization resistance in high temperature environments. The high chromium content makes the Incoloy 800 more resistant to oxidation. It is equally resistant to a variety of fluid media and is generally free of stress corrosion cracking. Incoloy 800 is nitric acid resistant at temperatures up to about 70% of the focal point and up to the boiling point. It also has excellent resistance to natural acids such as acetic acid, formic acid and propionic acid. It is resistant to both oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts, but not to halide salts.

Incoloy 800H / 800HT Bar

Incoloy 800H and 800HT is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy, which has very good strength and excellent oxidation resistance and carburization in high temperature environment. These nickel steel alloys are indistinguishable except for the large amount of carbon in the 800H alloy and the expansion of up to 1.20% aluminum and titanium in the 800HT alloy. Incoloy 800 was the first of these alloys, which was changed to Incoloy 800H. This change is to control carbon (.05-.10%) and grain size to improve stress rupture properties. The consolidation level of titanium and aluminum (.85-1.20%) was further adjusted Incoloy 800HT to ensure ideal high temperature performance.

Incoloy 825 Bar

Incoloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with molybdenum and copper additions. The chemical composition of this nickel-steel alloy is designed to provide excellent resistance to a variety of corrosion conditions. However, it, like the alloy 800, has enhanced water corrosion resistance. It has excellent resistance to reducing and oxidizing acids, tensile corrosion cracking and restrictive attacks such as pitting and crevice corrosion. 825 alloys are particularly resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acids.

Incoloy 925 Bar

925 alloy is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy designed to resist extreme corrosion conditions, pitting and crevice corrosion. This nickel steel alloy also exhibits unusually high recovery, tensile and creep rupture properties at elevated temperatures. These nickel alloys have long-term use from low temperatures to 1200 °F. A recognized component of the 925 composition of Inconel is the expansion of niobium to achieve age hardening, thereby annealing and welding during heating and cooling without unconstrained hardening. The expansion of niobium works with molybdenum to harden the alloy matrix and achieve high strength without strengthening heat treatment. Other well-known nickel-chromium alloys are age-hardened by the expansion of aluminum and titanium. This nickel steel alloy is quickly formed and can be welded in an annealed or precipitation (age) hardened condition.

Monel 400 Bar

It is a nickel-copper alloy (about 67% nickel-23% copper) that is resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures, as well as to salt and corrosive solutions. Monel is 400 a solid solution alloy that must be hardened by cold working. These nickel alloys have good corrosion resistance, good weldability and high strength.

Monel R-405 Bar

Monel R-405 is a free-processed form of Monel 400. It is a nickel-copper alloy with a certain amount of sulfur added to produce sulfide inclusions, which play a role in chip breaking during processing. Like Monel 400, R-405 alloy is resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures, as well as to salt and corrosive solutions. Monel R405 is a solid solution alloy that must be hardened by cold working. This nickel alloy has good corrosion resistance, good weldability and high strength. Its low corrosion rate in fast-flowing harsh environments or seawater, its amazing resistance to stress corrosion cracking in many fresh waters, and its ability to resist a variety of corrosion conditions have prompted its widespread use in other non-oxidizing chloride solutions and marine applications.

Monel K-500 Bar

Monel K-500 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-copper alloy, which consolidates the excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400 and has more noteworthy strength and hardness. These strengthening properties, strength and hardness are obtained by the addition of aluminum and titanium in the nickel-copper matrix, and by a heat treatment for shock precipitation, commonly referred to as age hardening or aging. In the age-hardened condition, Monel K-500 have a more pronounced tendency to stress corrosion cracking with less than Monel 400. Alloy K-500 has approximately three times the yield strength and twice the tensile strength as compared to Alloy 400.

Nickel Alloy 200 Bar

The alloy 200 is a forged, economically pure nickel with a carbon content of 0.15 percent. This alloy has extremely tough mechanical properties over a wide temperature range. It has corrosion resistance at neutral to moderately reduced conditions. The nickel 200 is ferromagnetic. Compared with nickel-based alloys, low-alloy and stainless steel, it has high thermal and electrical conductivity. Nickel 200 is not recommended for processes above 600 °F(316°C) because its long-term exposure in the 800 °F to 1200 °F range can cause precipitation of carbonaceous phases and loss of ductility.
